HOW TO LIFT OR REMOVE A CREDIT FREEZE

A credit freeze restricts access to your credit report, making it so you and others cannot open a new credit account while it's in place. To apply for new credit you will need to temporarily or permanently lift the freeze for a lender to access your credit report.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE BEFORE A FREEZE IS LIFTED?
If completed online or by phone, the freeze is typically lifted within the hour by the credit bureau or bureaus it was placed on.
